<Poem>

<Translation>
The sun sets on this lonely town in the mountains;
As is my wont, I turn towards the lodestar, towards our capital.
I hear the gibbons wailing and tears start from my eyes;
In vain have I boarded the autumn raft in hope of reaching the Milky Way,
I've long been ill, unable to serve at court;
I can only listen to the bugle sounding sad and subdued on the battlements .
Look! The moon on the ivy-mantled rocks
Is already lighting up the reeds near the isle.
